Male & College Students Also Victims of Violence from Girlfriends
When people think about domestic violence in heterosexual relationships, most people think of men assaulting women. But in many cases men are victims of violence from their girlfriends as well. Researchers are now looking into the impact of this violence.
One significant finding: the biggest predictor of whether college students would use violence against a partner was whether the partner was violent toward them. This is true of both men and women. While college students may have trouble controlling anger due to immaturity, much violence is triggered by drinking, particularly binge drinking.
