Unpaid Internships, Not Always Legal

In the current job market, some companies are taking advantage of students by illegally creating unpaid internships that violate minimum wage laws. If the position seems more like work than training, it may be in violation.  These internships not only take advantage of students, sometimes they displace paid jobs.  Oregon, California and other states are fighting-back against these practices, and have even gotten back pay for some unpaid interns.
